8. BREACH OF DATA

A privacy violation occurs when there is unauthorized access or collection, use, disclosure or deletion of personal information.  You will be notified of data breaches when HumanITcare believes you are likely to be at risk or in serious harm.  For example, a data breach is likely to result in serious financial damage or damage to your mental or physical well-being.  In the event that HumanITcare becomes aware of a security breach that has resulted or may result in unauthorized access, use or disclosure of personal information, HumanITcare will investigate the matter immediately and notify the relevant Supervisory Authority no later than 72 hours after becoming aware of unless it is unlikely that the personal data breach will result in a risk to rights and freedoms of natural persons.

9. CONTROLS FOR NON-MONITORING FUNCTIONS

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or configuration which you can activate to indicate your privacy preference so that no data is monitored or collected about your online browsing activities.  No uniform technology standard has been finalized to recognize and implement DNT signals.  As such, we currently do not respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online.  If an online tracking standard is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in an updated version of this privacy policy.
